Man ist gefesselt und gefangen in der Zeit. Eine Zeit, die man in Büchern/Romanen sonst eher seltener findet. Charaktere werden eindringlich beschrieben. Die "Krimi"geschichte dahinter ist ein wenig zu offensichtlich, daher nur 4 Sterne. Teilweise ein paar Längen, da waren die anderen Vorgängerbücher besser, aber trotzdem ein toller Lesestoff.

This was a part of history that I knew only as the title "peasants revolt". Appalling how the non-nobility were treated.

Have read all the Sardlake series. Can recommend them to anyone iterested in good mystery set in 16th century England.
